Appearance, Function and Applications
Non-Isolated Vs Isolated Co-axial TV Sockets
The most common and traditional TV socket is the non-isolated co-axial socket, there is probably a non-isolated version in your home too. The non-isolated coax is also used for satellite installation. Satellite boxes need to have a 2 way signal to allow the sending and receiveing of a signal, to both the TV and satellite dish.
The Isolated co-axial socket is more common in flats, apartment blocks, and work offices where a communal satellite dish or aerial is installed. The Isolated co-axial socket, allows the receiveing of a signal from the dish, but prevents a return signal, and therefore blocks interference across to the homes in the building, to ensure that everyone has a decent reception.

Cleaning
This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
