Appearance, Function and Applications

The physical switches on the Socket are small push buttons, press the button switch to turn on and off, these sockets are also controlled via the Supla app from your Smart phone, the app is downloadable from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and is free to use without hub or subscription. This socket accepts British plugs.

Although you are able to operate the socket manually, this socket was designed to work wirelessly with the help of the Supla app from your phone or tablet, at home or controlled from anywhere outside of the home when connected to the internet.

Turn lamps or appliances on and off remotely or on a timer or with scheduling when they are plugged into the socket, which is a great feature especially when away from home or on holiday to simulate occupancy.

You can control hard to reach sockets, set-up scenes with side and standard lamps, control sockets when you are out. Also, when installing as part of a V-Pro Smart suite of products you can incorporate side lamps into scenes that you set for your main lighting. It's also possible to switch sockets from the Varilight Supla WiFi dimmer knob too (called an "event" in the Supla world).

There are elements of peace of mind when this type of WiFi socket is installed, for instance, you can check which sockets are on in your home while you are out and turn off those that have been left on, for example switch off devices in the kids' rooms after you have dropped them off at school, or checking when you get to work, that you've turned off the socket where you hair straighteners or electric drill are plugged in, etc.

This Socket is not waterproof. If this product is needed for external use please buy an IP66 Wall Box.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
