Appearance, Function and Applications

VARILIGHT PowerGrid Plates enables you to combine switches, dimmers and other accessories on one plate. It is a 3 part assembly: PowerGrid Plates, PowerGrid Modules & PowerGrid Frames. We automatically supply PowerGrid Frames with each of our PowerGrid Plates, but you can buy extra if required.

PowerGrid is a major new addition to the VARILIGHT Dimension range of electrical accessories.

There are 200 PowerGrid modules including new 'engraved modules', and both 'Screwless and Screwed Grid faceplates' across the nine finishes enabling you to create countless combinations to produce tailor-made wiring accessories for specific projects.

There are two types of plates: Dimension Screwed PowerGrid plates employs mini fixing screws but will complement the existing range of Dimension Screwless sockets and DataGrid accessories to create one hugely expanded range assortment; Dimension Screwless PowerGrid plates are in keeping with the rest of the screwless range, simply add the modules to the frame, and screw to wall box, then clip the cover plate on to frames.

Please note: The DataGrid inserts are not compatible with the PowerGrid plates, DataGrid plates will have to be bought seperately.

'PowerGrid switch modules' are available as 10AX 2 way and 20AX with 3 way, 2 way and 1 way configurations, single and double pole, standard switches, including some incorporating neons are complemented by intermediate switches, key switches, 2 way and on/off retractive switches, 13A fuse holders, 16A flex outlets and green, amber and red neon indicator modules, blanking modules and both 250W and 400W multi-purpose 2 way dimmer modules, as well as V-Pro, V-Com and Multi Point modules for dimming LEDs.

There are four different grid frames, for these products, which hold the inserts in place in the plates.

These Grid Frames are included when you buy each of the plates, if extra Frames are required, you can buy extra from our Accessories category.

PowerGrid Plates are available as 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 12 gang faceplates.

As some of the dimmer modules sit deeply in the plate a '47mm wall box' may be required.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
