Appearance, Function and Applications

The rocker switch are rectangular with a central fulcrum, press the bottom of the rocker switch to turn on, and the top of the rocker switch to turn off, an audible click will occur when turning on/off the switch.

Varilight rocker switches are suitable for controlling mains and low voltage lighting, halogen, incandescent GLS, LEDs and any other lighting. 3 way switches are to be used where the lighting circuit is controlled by three switches (or 1 dimmer and 2 switches) often called a 3 way or intermediate circuit, this switch has four terminals on the back, enabling you to link all three switches, of the circuit, together. Make sure, on the 3 way circuit, that the other two switches are 2 way (or 1 dimmer and 1 switch). For example, imagine a room with 3 sets of doors leading in to that room and one ceiling light circuit. The switches beside two doorways are 2 way switches, beside the third doorway, the switch would be a 3 way. Another scenario: imagine the same room with 3 doorways and ceiling light circuit. Beside one doorway is a 2 way switch, another doorway has a dimmer switch, and the third doorway has a 3 way switch.

The Freestyle Series is a mini range.

The Freestyle Range allows the creation of individual designs. To create the design, simply remove the clear front plate carefully by gently pulling two of the raised clips on adjacent sides of the clear frame around the product, to allow the clear front plate to be lifted out. There are now a few options: Lift out the printed card, turn it over, this can be drawn on. Alternatively, use the printed card as a template to create desired design, or cut photos, wallpaper or print anything from the internet (Be Creative!)

It may be easier to to draw around the clear faceplate on the back of the selected design, and then cut with scissors or a craft knife on a suitable surface.

Lastly put the design in place, on the product, and clip the the clear front plate back into the clear frame to secure.

Limitations

This switch is not waterproof. If this product is needed for external use please buy the following items IP66 Wall Box and if needed, a Spacer.

If you would prefer a dimmer instead, or need one to use in conjunction with this product, then choose one of the following dimmers: if dimming LEDs choose either the V-Pro, or V-Com Dimmer Series. If dimming mains and Low Voltage then choose V-Plus Dimmer Series, and if only dimming incandescent lighting, then choose V-Dim.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
