Appearance, Function and Applications

The rocker switch is rectangular with a central fulcrum, press the bottom of the rocker switch to turn on, and the top of the rocker switch to turn off, an audible click will occur when turning on/off the switch, a 13 Amp fuse is included, which can be replaced with 13 Amp fuses with measurements 25.4 x 6.4 mm if it blows. The neon indicator light illuminates when switch is on. The flex outlet is an aperture in the plate which clamps a cable in place for powering appliances, this saves on bringing the cable out from the wall.

Varilight switched fused spurs are suitable for controlling any 13 Amp appliance including dishwashers, washing machines and heated towel rails.

Limitations

For heavy duty applications such as controlling water heaters or cookers choose from our Heavy Duty Switches, 20 Amp and 45 Amp.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
