Appearance, Function and Applications

The triple pole Fan Isolator can be used in most rooms, although wet areas should be avoided, like bathrooms and shower rooms. In wet rooms, the Fan Isolator is put outside of the room. The role of the Fan Isolator, is to isolate the electrics to an extractor fan, so it can be easily removed for inspection, maintenance and repair. This switch is not only essential as a building requirement on a new build or extension but if installing a new extractor fan, it is wise to wire in a Fan Isolator too.

Remember to not overtighten this product or the natural wood will crack and warranty will be void.

This product is not waterproof and should not be used externally.

For heavy duty applications such as controlling water heaters or cookers choose from our Heavy Duty Switches, 20 Amp and 45 Amp.

If you need a dimmer to use in conjunction with this product, or instead of, then choose one of the following dimmers: if dimming LEDs choose the V-Pro Series. If dimming mains or incandescent lighting then choose the V-Dim Dimmer Series.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may discolour or warp. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, from the above or over tightening to the wall, it will void the product warranty.
