Appearance, Function and Applications

The Evofire Fire Rated Downlight is a safe and attractive fitting for a GU10 or MR16 LED bulb (GU10 holder included). The patented "canless" design of the Evofire does not conceal your bulb in a large metal canister, which can trap some of the heat it generates, lowering bulb lifetime and performance. Bulbs installed in an Evofire run at up to 10 degrees C cooler than a typical can-style fire rated downlight from leading LED brands - this can extend the lifetime of your bulbs.

As well as being very tough thanks to its steel construction, The Evofire is also a highly aesthetic choice for Fire Rated lighting. The 1mm blend-in bezel is up to 10 times thinner than typical IP65 rated downlights and fits almost flush with your ceiling, so the downlight looks discreet and pleasing in any setting.

The Evofire is available in a range of colours and finishes, with round and square models available as well as recessed options so the bulb sits higher in the ceiling, reducing glare. Models are available with insulation guards so roof insulation can be safely laid on top of the downlight.

This downlight is fire rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes in compliance with BS476 Part 21:1987, Air Tightness compliant with Part C and Part L and Resistance to Sound compliant with Part E.

The Evofire is IP65 dust and moisture sealed from the front when installed correctly, so can be installed also in bathrooms, shower rooms and wet rooms.

Limitations

Although this Evofire downlight is IP65 rated, it is advised for internal installation only. There are different products available for external applications.

GU10 Lamps are sold seperately and can be fitted to the Evofire range, when using a dimmable GU10 that we sell, please choose either the V-Pro or V-Com Dimmer Series, and follow the recommended loading advice on each dimmer.

Cleaning

Generally this product does not require cleaning, but if you would like to, we suggest turning off the product and wait for it to cool before using a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product, and avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals as it will void the product warranty, and may damage the unit.
