Appearance, Function and Applications

The Low Profile Fire Rated Downlight is a safe and attractive fitting with integrated 6 watt 510 Lumen 3000k (Warm White) 38 Degree Beam, IP65 so can also be used in bathrooms too.

As well as being very tough thanks to its steel construction, The Low Profile downlight is also a highly aesthetic choice for Fire Rated and IP65 Bathroom lighting. At only 45mm deep, this downlight will fit almost all ceiling voids, making it the best choice for houses, commercial properties and other buildings.

This Low Profile downlight has a range of colour bezels which can be purchased seperately so compliment any room colour, the Black Bezel (ILDLFR70B005) can be painted to a colour of your choice, much like Varilight's Screwless Primed ranges.

This downlight is fire rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes in compliance with BS476 Part 21:1987, Air Tightness compliant with Part C and Part L and Resistance to Sound compliant with Part E.

This downlight is IP65 dust and moisture sealed from the front when installed correctly, so can be installed also in bathrooms, shower rooms and wet rooms.

This downlight product features an extruded aluminium heat sink, iron body and Steel springs and mounting plate.

Limitations

Although this Low Profile downlight is IP65 rated, it is advised for internal installation only. There are different products available for external applications.

The integrated LED has a 3 year warranty and can be dimmed with the Varilight Dimmer Series, V-Pro or V-Com, please follow the recommended loading advice on each dimmer.

Cleaning

Generally this product does not require cleaning, but if you would like to, we suggest turning off the product and wait for it to cool before using a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product, and avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals as it will void the product warranty, and may damage the unit.
