Appearance, Function and Applications

The Toggle switch acts like a momentary rocker switch but looks different. It has a short shaft with a ball on the end with a central fulcrum, the difference however, is that when you press the Toggle switch downwards to turn on, you need to hold it to make contact. Then when the Toggle switch is released, it will spring back to the off position. It can be used where push-to-make switches are required, for example to trigger a relay or activate a motor that controls a blind, they can be used for all electric blinds, bells and applications where a momentary electric signal is required, please note, this switch is not waterproof.

The Push To Make are suitable for 1 way only circuits, i.e. where the circuit is controlled by 1 switch. Although this product is classed as 1-Way, you can use in a Multi-Way set up if switches are 'daisy-chained' together.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
